Two MoUs of DU with Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and University of Miyazaki, Japan renewed.
To strengthen the academic collaboration two MoUs of the University of Dhaka (DU) with the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS) and University of Miyazaki, Japan have been renewed for 5 years.
Today, on 5th March 2023, Signing Ceremony held at the office of the Treasurer of the University of Dhaka. Professor Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed signed both MoUs as the Treasurer of the University of Dhaka; while Professor Kayoko Hayashi, President of TUFS and Professor Dr. Hiroshi Sameshima, President of the University of Miyazaki signed respective MoU.
On behalf of the TUFS, Associate Professor Bumpei Tojo and on behalf of the University of Miyazaki Mr. Takashi Uemura, International Coordinator and Japanese Language Lecturer, have attended the ceremony. Among the others, Professor Dr. ABM Razaul Karim Faquire, Director of the Institute of Modern Languages, DU, Professor Dr. Mohammed Ansarul Alam, Head of the Dept. of Japanese Language and Culture and Assistant Professor Dr. Md. Monir Uddin were present.
All stakeholders expected that through such MoUs both students and teachers of concerned institutions will be able to accelerate their academic activities; and it will contribute to the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Japan significantly.
Later the team met with Professor Dr. Md. Aktharuzzaman, the honorable Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka in a courtesy call.
